Wear it Pink Day!
Wear it pink day is Breast Cancer Campaign's biggest fundraising event. We all put on something pink on 28th October and donated £2 to the Breast Cancer Campaign! What easier way to help save lives?
Just £2 can buy 40 microscope slides! We raised £150 which will enable them to buy the cell culture liquid required to grow breast cancer cells and 2 weeks' worth of pipettes.
Just look at what else the money we raised could be spent on -
£2 - 2 weeks' worth of pipettes.
£5 - will buy a pair of laboratory safety spectacles.
£10 - buys laboratory chemicals to use in experiments.
£17 - will buy a researcher a protective laboratory coat.
£20 - buys 500 test tubes for daily use in research projects.
£50 - buys 2 weeks' worth of pipettes.
£100 - buys the cell culture liquid required to grow breast cancer cells.
£1000 - provides the basic equipment that a researcher needs to carry out scientific experiments.
