We do work with our customers and suppliers to carry a selected number of other category lines in order to maximise capacities leaving the depot and help stamp down our carbon footprint, but at heart we’re all about fruit, vegetables and salads.

Our worldwide procurement expertise means some 800 product lines are available to our customers. And we don’t just sit in the UK waiting for imports to arrive – we have a team of procurement anoraks on the road, scouring the world for the finest produce. And we forge strong, incentivised relationships with our growers and farmers so our customers are always looked after. For us, the life of a carrot doesn’t start in a box in the warehouse – it begins as a seed sown in rich soils.

You’ll find we’re refreshingly honest. With products that come from Mother Earth also come many variable challenges – torrential rains, scorching sun, earthquakes, even swarms of locusts – everything affects fruit and vegetables. They mean our Procurement Director has a bit of an ibuprofen problem, but we won’t be afraid to tell you so! Our ethos for open, honest communication helps chefs plan their menus around the best quality products.
