During the game season, our London butchery can supply a huge range of wild and farmed game for your menus. In fact, we’re one of just a handful of butchers in the whole of London with a licence to butcher game!
What does this include? Well… we can supply pheasant, partridge, grouse, duck, goose, snipe, woodcock, golden plover, mallard, hare, rabbit, wild boar and a variety of venison. And because we’re licenced to butcher the meat, that means you don’t have to buy the whole hog – just the bits you want! Or we can even supply you with a ready-made game pie mix – how’s that for convenience?
And all this fab game is sourced from the British countryside, with the exception of a few specialist breeds that don’t live in abundance on our shores, such as a France’s red-legged partridge.
Now you should be aware that game is seasonal (click the ‘game seasons’ button below to see the dates for each animal) and the meat usually becomes available a couple of days after each season begins. If you want it at its very tastiest though, it’s best to leave it for week to hang. We can get hold of game throughout the rest of year, but it’ll be frozen not fresh, so it’s best to stick to the seasons.
